Shameful Day

We've lost our face again to the national news! Philippines is in the limelight again for this shameful event. I hope the hijacking incident last Tuesday won't deter tourists and students who wish to study and visit Philippines. This is only isolated case, and I hope this will served as a wake up call to the Philippine police department specially to the SWAT team.

I am deeply concerned about the well-being of the Filipinos in HK. They have nothing to do with the incident. I hope their employers won't threat them harshly, and I hope the Hong Kong government will resolve this in a way they will point out the concerned people and not blaming the whole country for the faults of the few.

My deepest condolences to the love ones of the victims. May their soul rest in peace!

Braviella tu promesa

Hola, I'm still hoping that you will send your pixies at the Great Wall via tweetpic. Here are my pics. from China hope to see yours, too. This was around October of 2007 and it was already autumn then. My 10-day trip was loaded of fun and excitement, though I did not really like the foods there.

Chinese Acrobat. I saw it on the grand opening of the Olympics. Nice stunt guys!

Seriously, the price of this frog is no joke! This is made of a precious gem-emerald. Fact, emerald is the birthstone of those who were born in May like me.

Me and Nook's Mom.
Touring around Hutong with the traditional Chinese bicycle.

Facade of Forbidden City. The famous home of Reyna Dowager or Queen Xixi. My friend took this pic. She has a very good resolution on her cam. BTW, the pic. hanging on the huge wall is Mao Zhedong, one of the famous rulers of China.

Inside the Zoo with the lazy Panda at the back.

At the Gem Exhibit. I'm really fascinated by these globes. BTW, the prices are no joke! cos' they are really made of real Gems.

Me & fat Fluke

Our last stop over before we headed to the airport, Marco Polo bridge. Looks typical Chinese Hutong.

At the Tian Na Men Aquare

Me, the guard and Mao Zhedong hehehehe, Trio.

Inside the Forbidden City. One whole day is not enough to go around this walled city, especially if you are quite detailed lookers.

This is not yet the summit and I'm not even half-way of the GW, but the view is alredy expectacular.
On the way up to the Great Wall, part of Badaling. I got tired feet. I dunno how many feet I was able to climb.

Got tired of walking inside the Summer Palace. There's a lagoon that goes through the Forbidden City from this Palace.

Is this insomia?

For the passed few months I developed a weird sleeping pattern. I used to sleep on time, 6-8 hours a day if I may. And now, I'm suffering with this bad sleeping habit. I'm kinda worried cos' I have read some articles about the effects of few sleeps and insomia. I confided to a friend if it is advisable to take sleeping pills cos' I could not take it any longer. I don't want my work to suffer. So far, I haven't gotten any late cos' I tried my best to come on time, eventhough I feel like I'm floating in the air while heading to work. I feel really bad about it cos' I can't perform properly at work due to this lack of sleep. My mind is sinking and I don't feel efficient anymore. You know the feeling of staring at the clock every minute and dreaming about your comfy bed? I'm wondering if this insomia already or due to stress, well, I hope not! (still keeping my fingers cross)During the weekend, I tried to make up with those sleepless nights that I had over the weekdays. I covered my windows with thick blanket to not let the rays pass through my room, and to make the ambiance still at night time. Just recently, this stuff that I do over the weekends are sign of insomia according to the research that I read. gosh! I should do something about it. I don't want to become a nocturnal mammal!

I did a lot of things to fight insomia; I read books, but I'm still wide awake after finishing it; eating late at night, eventhough I knew that it is bad to sleep with your bloated tummy; tiring myself, cleaning my toilet at the mid of the night and scrubbing my veranda, but i ended up having back and muscle pain; dozing myself with my favourite songs, nyaaa.....not effective! and lastly, though it may seem kids stuff, i tried to count the imaginary sheeps to battle this insomania habit.

I wish I could go back to my early to bed, early rise habit. Now I know why the vampires do not come out on day time...because they have insomia! hehehehe joke!

La Madrastra (got addicted watching it)

The main female protagonist of this smashed hit telenovela is one of the most successful and respected actress in Mexico. I became fond watching her telenovelas since 2004, when I came to Thailand and started to learn spanish. I was surfing the net (youtube) for something that I could watch cos' Thai and Korean novelas were not my cup tea. I have seen some latin telenovelas back home, but i did not have that kind of interest to watch such drama. If you're living away from home, things that you hated doing back home will suddenly become your outlet or obsession to fill in the nostalgic feeling. So I bear to watch latin novelas on youtube, since I'm learning spanish and somehow it could help me broaden my spanish diction and vocab. The first telenovela that caught my attention was the "La Madrastra" wherein Victoria Ruffo was the main protagonist and the other Cuban actor based in Mexico. I litterally tracked each episode on youtube. Each scene gave me the excitement especially the last few episodes cos' the real assasin of Patricia turned out to be a big puzzle for the viewers. Victoria portrayed the role of the "Madrastra" She was really fitted in the role. I like her aura, simplicity and her lasting beauty that somehow proved the cliche' "A face that could launch a thousand ships." Since then, I kinda develop Ruffodiction and started to crave for some more of her teles.

some of my favourite lines of Maria (Victoria Ruffo)

"Si, soy yo, Maria, tu peor pesadilla!" >>>her first grand appearance to her traitors after 20 years in jail.

"Te odio Esteban San Roman! te odio con todo mi corazon!" These words were repeated severals times in differect episodes, but the most intense scene was when Esteban visited her in her luxurious hotel to clear his conscience to Maria, but it ended up provoking much more pain to her.

'Veinte anos, veinte anos sin mis hijos, sin amor...huhuhuhu." repeated several times, too, whenever she had bad encounter with the buitres, her hijos and Esteban.

The official DVD Cover
I bought this DVD on e-bay, but got frustrated when i started watching it cos' it was jumpaked-a lot of deleted scenes

The Wedding

How could you marry the same man who abadoned you in cold prison for twenty years and made your children beleive that you are dead already??? think about it Maria!

Mucho lagrimas! Don't fall into his bait!

Laura Pausini La Solitudine

One of my favourite songs of Laura Pausini La Soledad (La Solitudine in Italiant). She's one of the most successful singers in Italy. She gained popularity in North and South America because of ther English and Spanish rendition of her compositions.
